Open User Protection

1. Participate with a plan

BEGUIGO Challenges are skill-based competitions involving knowledge, judgement and strategic decisions. Participation never guarantees that you will win a Challenge or receive a prize.

Before participating, decide what level of time and Credits is appropriate for you and avoid changing that plan simply because a previous bid or action did not produce the result you wanted.

2. Understand the Challenge first

Review the Challenge requirements, Credits per bid or action, qualification requirements, participation limits, BPS or VIP access conditions, prize information and closing conditions before you participate.

A Challenge can change dynamically as other participants submit bids and use available actions. A bid that is winning, unique or otherwise favourable at one moment may not remain so.

3. Treat purchased Credits as real expenditure

Credits are BEGUIGO platform units, but purchased Credits ultimately represent money you have spent. Consider the underlying purchase cost of Credits and the Credit cost of bids or actions rather than focusing only on the Credit number.

Do not increase participation merely to recover Credits already consumed or money already spent. Previous expenditure should not determine whether another bid or action is appropriate.

4. Set and respect personal limits

BEGUIGO provides user-managed rolling Credit-spending limits and money-spent-on-Credit-purchases limits, subject to the safeguards and maximum caps configured for your account. Set boundaries before participation becomes reactive and treat an effective limit as a boundary, not a target.

The Limits Monitor can bring supported limit usage and threshold information together, while Credit Limits remains the authority for the user-managed spending and Credit-purchase limits it enforces.

5. Take breaks when you need them

BEGUIGO provides server-enforced Cooling-off and Self-exclusion controls. Cooling-off temporarily disables protected competitive actions for the selected period. Self-exclusion provides a stronger or longer restriction and cannot be cancelled by you while it is active; a permanent option is available where configured.

Active protection can also block purchases of Credit products where the configured protection settings require it.

6. Do not chase previous expenditure or outcomes

A previous bid, action, purchase or unsuccessful outcome is already in the past. Avoid increasing participation because you feel you need to recover what you have spent or change the result of an earlier decision.

A sound decision can be to stop, take a break or use no further action.

7. Decision-support tools cannot guarantee winning

Info Packs, BPS, Pulse, Assistant, Strategy Assistant, simulations and other BEGUIGO information tools can help you understand available information or options. They cannot predict or guarantee a winning outcome.

Treat recommendations, rankings, indicators and strategic suggestions as decision support. You remain responsible for deciding whether to participate and which permitted action, if any, to take.

8. Use Auto-Bidder deliberately

Auto-Bidder can increase participation and Credit consumption without requiring you to submit every bid manually. Review its configured bid quantity, eligibility conditions, applicable limits and associated costs before activating it.

Do not use automation as a way to bypass your intended boundaries or to continue participating after you would otherwise have stopped.

9. Strategic actions have costs and consequences

Protect Bid, Recover Bid, Give Up & Recover, Cancel Bids, Pause, Terminate, Info Pack and other Challenge Actions may have eligibility rules, limits, Credit costs and consequences. Availability does not mean that using an action is always the best decision.

Read the confirmation, cost and consequence information presented before committing to a material action.

10. VIP is not a spending target

VIP may provide benefits, access or different platform features. It should not be interpreted as a reason to participate more frequently, spend more Credits or exceed limits that are appropriate for you.

Where Free Challenges are available, they provide opportunities to participate without a Credit cost per bid according to the rules shown for that Challenge.

11. Recognise signs that participation may be becoming problematic

Consider stepping away if you repeatedly exceed the time or spending you intended, chase previous expenditure, hide or minimise your spending, feel pressured to continue, or allow participation to interfere with work, relationships or other responsibilities.

If any of these signs apply, use BEGUIGO protection controls and consider independent support rather than trying to solve the situation through further participation.

12. Existing BEGUIGO protection tools

User Protection provides Cooling-off and Self-exclusion with server-side enforcement across protected BEGUIGO actions. Credit Limits provides user-managed Credit-spending and Credit-purchase-money limits, and Limits Monitor observes supported limits and threshold states across the platform.

Protection starts, ends and blocked-action attempts can be recorded in protection audit history, and configured protection notifications can be sent through the BEGUIGO notification system.

13. Adults only

BEGUIGO is for adults aged 18 or over. The platform includes an age-compliance confirmation flow and may require age or identity verification under its rules. Do not allow another person to use your account or participate on your behalf.

14. Support and independent help

If you are concerned about your participation, use the User Protection controls immediately or contact BEGUIGO Support. You do not need to wait until a problem becomes severe before taking a break or setting stronger limits.

Independent organisations are separate from BEGUIGO. MoneyHelper provides free, impartial UK money guidance and access to free debt advice. If your concern also relates to gambling or gambling-like behaviour elsewhere, GamCare operates the National Gambling Helpline. If you are distressed or struggling to cope, Samaritans is available day and night.

15. BEGUIGO commitment to informed and controlled participation

BEGUIGO aims to present costs, restrictions and material consequences clearly; provide meaningful protection controls; avoid presenting decision-support tools as guarantees; and maintain server-side enforcement for configured protection restrictions.

Responsible Participation is a product-design commitment as well as guidance. BEGUIGO should not describe a safeguard as available unless the relevant functionality actually supports and enforces it.
